FULL ITINERARY
At Kigali international Airport Rwanda, you will be met by Embrace Africa gorilla vacation safari guide and thereafter transfer you to your lodge. At the lodge our guide will give a detailed briefing about your Rwandan Uganda safari. Overnight at Five to five hotel
Morning after breakfast go a city tour. Here we shall visit Gisozi genocide museum, Nyamata and Ntarama genocide sites and some city markets. Break for lunch, after transfer to Volcanoes national park. Davinci lodge
Day 3: Hike to Diana Fossey’s grave
Morning after breakfast, assemble at the park headquarters for briefing and after hike to Diana fossey’s grave. Afternoon at rest
Morning after breakfast, we shall get back to the park headquarters and proceed for the Golden Monkey tracking which is listed as endangered by the world conservation union. This is another thrilling activity for visitors. Trekking these habituated primates takes between 3 – 4 hours. The other special thing with these monkeys is that they are only found within the Albertine rift which covers Uganda’s Mgahinga, Rwanda’s VNP, and Congo’s Virunga national parks. Getting close to this primates is another thrilling encounter. After trekking return back to the lodge for dinner and over night stay
Day 5: Transfer to Congo through Rusizi Board to the town of Bukavu
You will transfer to Congo town of Bukavu through Rusizi boarder. Depending on the time of arrival, you can make a Bakavu city tour. Overnight at Orchids safari club
Day 6: Lowland gorilla trekking in kahuzi Biega national park
In the morning, you will head for the memorable adventure if tracking the lowland gorillas in Kahuzi Biega national park. Lowland gorillas differ from mountain gorillas in that they are bigger in size and stay in bigger families. The tracking usually takes 1 – 4 hours. After tracking you will return back to Bukavu and for rest at your lodge. Overnight Orchids safari club
Day 7: Transfer to Goma Town
Very early in the morning, you will be picked from your hotel ferry which will take you to Coma town (about 2hrs ride). On arrival, you will check in with the virunga national park office and proceed to Coma for a city tour. Overnight at Kibumba Tented Camp
Day 8: Nyiragongo Hike
Morning after breakfast proceed to park headquarters. You will meet your ranger guide and porter and begin your hike. Meals will be provided and you will stay in a banda at the top of the volcano
Day 9: Descend nyiragongo
After breakfast, start down hill walk where you will reach down at around 11am. Proceed to Grande Barriers to start your journey Uganda
After an early breakfast, our driver will drive you to Mgahinga/bwindi National Park headquarters arriving in time for briefing. Before briefing, your passport details will be required to make sure that you are eligible to trek mountain gorillas. This will be followed by briefing from one of the UWA rangers about gorilla trekking, dos and don’ts and instructions to be followed on the trek, with the gorillas and after the trek. You will then be led to the forest to search for the mountain gorillas.
Day 11: Batwa (pygmies) experience hike
In the morning, you will go to Mgahinga gorilla national park to start the batwa experience hike. This activity is done and conducted by the batwa people in collaboration with Uganda wildlife authority. The tour takes you the jingles inside Mgahinga national where the batwa people used to live before they were evicted from forest when it was made a national park. They will demonstrate to you how they used to live,hunt and survive in the forest.
Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi one of the most scenic lakes in Uganda and the second deepest lake in Africa with some areas a deep as 900m. It has very wonderful and cool resorts that most people love to relax. overnight at Bird nest
After breakfast we set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park, this is the 2nd biggest park in Uganda. we shall do a game drive enroute in Ishasha sector in search of the tree climbing lions. Other animals that could be seen here include Topis, Leopard, Hyenas, Buffaloes warthogs, Baboons Kobs, African Elephant and much more. Overnight at Enjojo lodge
Transfer to the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. We start with morning game drive, this is one of the most beautiful game drives you can ever do with in Uganda, the drive exposes you to large herds of topis, kobs, Buffaloes and sometimes elephants, and if we are lucky, we can see the tree climbing lions and the leopard. After the game drive through the park to the northern part of the park to catch up with an amazing two hours boat ride on the Kazinga Channel for amazing bird life and a variety of wild life plus biggest schools of Hippos found no where else in on the African continent. Dinner and over night at Engazi lodge
After an early Breakfast we’ll go for a morning game drive in Kasenyi plains in search of the famous Big Four; Elephant, Buffalos, Lions and leopard. Other animals you can expect to see include; Bush bucks,Uganda Kobs, Giant forest hog, Hyenas and Waterbucks warthogs and much more as nature can unveil. In the after noon we’ll transfer to Kibale forest National park overnight at Primate Lodge
After breakfast we visit Kibale Forest National Park, which is reputed to have the biggest variety of primates and highest concentration of chimpanzees in East Africa. We shall meet at the park offices for briefing and thereafter be allocated groups to start our chimpanzee trekking. The trekking usually but not always takes 2-4 depending on how far the chimpanzees are feeding from. After trekking the chimpanzees, we shall break for lunch and afternoon go for a guided nature walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary in search of other primates like; uganda red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, grey chicked mangabey, red colobus and many others. Overnight at your lodge
After breakfast drive to Lake Mburo arriving in the afternoon. Take an evening game drive in search for the beautiful impalas, zebras, cape buffalos, elands, warthogs, topis, waterbucks and much more. Dinner and overnight Rwakobo rock
Morning after breakfast, we shall have a morning walk to get closer to the wild animals on foot. Here we are likely to encounter giraffes, topis, impalas, elands waterbucks, zebras and much more. After the walk pack your bags and head for Kampala overnight at Sojovalo hotel
We shall have a morning Kampala city tour where we shall visit places like Kasubi tombs, Mengo palace, Bahai temple, Gaddafi gland mosque and much more. Break for lunch and after transfer to the airport for departure from Entebbe
