In this five days gorilla adventure, we visit the volcanoes National park for a chance to encounter some of the few remaining mountain gorillas in the world. The experience is amazing!
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Airport pick up from Kigali and transfers to Volcanoes National Park Airport and depending on the time you could have a city tour of the small Kigali city that has a rich cultural and historical value.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking
Morning after breakfasted head for the park headquarters for briefing and later embark on your ultimate gorilla trekking experience in then Volcanoes National Park popularly known to the rest of the world as the first place where the American primatologist Dian Fossey first made studies of the mountain gorillas and brought their plight to the attention of the whole world.
Day 3: Second gorilla trekking
You will go for the second gorilla trekking experience. Here you have a chance to trek a different gorilla family from the one trekked the previous day
Day 4: Hike to Diana Fossey’s grave
Morning after breakfast, assemble at the park headquarters for briefing and after hike to Diana fossey’s grave. Afternoon at rest
Day 5: Golden monkey trekking and later transfer to Kigali
Early morning breakfast and we drive off to ORTPN offices for briefing after which will be led by a guide into the forest for a thrilling trek through the refined foothills of the Virungawhich provide spectacular views. The forest will enchant you with the beautiful songs of colorful birds that grace this forest, chattering of the rare golden monkey, and a range of forest animals like the elusive populations of buffalo and elephant. Afternoon return to Kigali/ airport
