Parc National des Volcans is a section of the large Virunga Conservation Area found in Rwanda and is situated at the extreme Northwestern part of Rwanda at the border with Congo plus Uganda. It is a prominent habitat for Mountain Gorillas consequently being the best destination in Rwanda where you can marvel at the gorillas.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
On arrival, at Kigali International Airport, our professional tour-guide will welcome you transfer you to the Volcanoes National Park. On this approximately four hours drive you will be rewarded with numerous amazing scenic beauties as well as photography in this gorgeous ‘Land of a Thousand Hills’. Enjoy lunch along the way, although this will mainly depend on your time of arrival at the airport. Following a worthwhile drive in our comfortable safari-vehicle, you will finally arrive at the lodge where you will check-in to have dinner and spend the night.
Day2: Gorilla Trekking in Parc Des Volcanoes
Early morning after breakfast drive to the park headquarters for a briefing before you may your way into thick steep dense forest in search of the tranquil gorillas. On a good day you may find the Gorillas quite easily, however most of the time the trek is quite strenuous but you are rewarded with an hour with these gentle giants. At the end of the trek you will retire to your lodge where you will unwind as you await dinner.
Day 3: Kigali
Early morning after breakfast you will return to Kigali, depending on your flight time you may have a city tour before being transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home.
